The
Role of the Dunman Dedicated and Supportive Parents' Group is to support
the school in bringing out the best in our staff and students. Parents
are members school committees such as the Pupil Development and Cherish Committee and are actively involved in areas such as environmental programs, enterprise, pottery, racial harmony and school improvement. The School, Parents Support Group would like to place on record our deepest thanks and appreciation to our Chairman from 2002 - 2007, Mr Nadarajan for his invaluable contribution to our key processes, programmes and activities.

Enviro Life-Sciences Symposium 2007 and 2008
The Dunman Dedicated and Supportive Parents' Group works closely with the school in organising the East Zone Enviro Life-Sciences Symposium. In August 2007 and August 2008, parents set up several exhibition and games booth to promote the message of recycling. Their creativity and talent attracted much attention from schools and the public.

Environmental and Health Related Activities
The Dunman Dedicated and Supportive Parents' Group is actively involved in Environmental and Health related activities be it Clean and Green Week, NEA's Recyling Day or organising Health related activities for the school. In 2007, parents organised the Eat Right Keep Fit Day for all staff and in 2008 during Pink of Health week, parents promoted the eating of fruits in the canteen to all students.

Family Carnival
Every
year, the Parents' Group organises a major event in collaboration with
the school, alumni and SAC to raise funds for the needy students. The Dunman Care and Share Day 2008 was a huge success with $30,000 being rasied to aid needy students. Parents, SAC and alumni worked hand in hand to care and share for others. The
Dunman Family Carnival and Staff Concert on 10 Feb 2007 helped to raise
more than $40,000 (including direct donations) for needy students and
the school building fund. The Racial Harmony Cum Family Bonding Day in
2006 grossed more than $20,000 for needy students.

Racial
Harmony Day at Innova JC
In
2006, the Dunman Supportive Parents' Group, set up a booth at Innova JC
during the National Racial Harmony Day to showcase the different cultures
making up multi-racial Singapore. They also facilated a quiz for primary
school students.

Pottery Club and Workshops
  

The
Dunman Pottery Club is run by our Vice-Chairman of the Parent
Support Group, Ms Liz Ng. Workshops are conducted for both parents
and students. Fine works are sold to raise funds for needy students. Former students are also welcome to join the pottery club and promote the fine arts amongst current students.
