| In 1985, Dr Chong, Vice Chairman of the SAC and member of the
Rotary Club of Marina City explored the possibility of starting
an Interact Club with Charter President Hector Charles, PP Dr
K A Abraham, Mr Wong Hong Sze and Principal, Mr Johnny Lau. This
led to the birth of the Dunman Interact Club in 1986 under the
inspiring leadership of Mr Wilfred James. Every year since then,
the President of the Rotary Club of Marina City is the joint
Guest of Honour with the Principal at the annual Interact Club
installation ceremony. From 1991, the Rotary Club has supported
the annual Career Guidance Seminar at Dunman Secondary.

In 1993, PP Dr K A Abraham approved the sponsorship of the development
of a PCCG Room for Dunman. In the same year, the Work Experience
programme received the full support of the Rotary Club.

In 1998 the first East One Cluster Careers Seminar (CHOICES)
was organised with Rotary Club patronage: they supported with
speakers, and sponsorship of tokens and seminar accessories.
Temasek Polytechnic was the venue and partner in this project.

In 2001, the Principal of Dunman, Mrs Edelweis Neo was invited
to speak at a
Rotary Luncheon. The Rotary Club continues to support the school
contributing towards the needy pupil’s fund. The synergy
between Dunman Secondary School and Rotary Club of Marina City
has enabled the school to benefit from the professional expertise
of the members of Rotary Club of Marina City.
