Every year the East Zone Life-Sciences Research Centre (repositioned in 2009 as Centre for Innovations in Science) at Dunman Secondary School (comprising members from East Zone schools in its steering and working committee) organizes the above symposium for educators. Students and their parents from primary and secondary schools in Singapore are welcome to take part in the games and exhibits.
This year, the event will be held at Dunman Secondary School on 14 November 2009 (Saturday). The theme for the symposium is “Celebrating Possibilities in Life Sciences and the Environment" while the concurrent sessions will feature Innovations in Pedagogy, covering a wide range of subjects suitable for educators in all disciplines. The concurrent sessions will be presented by educators from Dunman Secondary School, and E3 and E4 Clusters. In addition, Dunman Secondary School leaders will be sharing on a whole school approach to innovation and excellence using Dunman as a case study.
