- the department launched a
new e-learning portal, integrating it into the school website to provide a one-stop centre
for information and resources for teaching and learning.
- the school was selected by MOE to be in one of the pilot school to experiment the use of
Interactive Whiteboard for teaching and learning.
- the school set-up a wireless internet network to facilitate the concept of borderless
classroom so that teaching and learning can take place at any place and any time within
the school campus
- 22 pupils participating in the Cisco Networking Academy

- the school partners Temasek Polytechnic in offering the Advanced
Graded Subject (AGS) in Creative 3D Animation. 20 Sec 3

- the school collaborates with NIE and
the researchers in the University of Massachusetts on the Simcal
MathWorlds project The project increases our infusion of
IT in the mathematics curriculum as we provide students with
different kind of learning experience.
- the department sets up a digital
music studio to help students develop creativity and critical
thinking skills as well as develop an understanding of an open
mind for music of local and global cultures. Through the
use of technology in the music lab, students will have more
opportunities to experiment and be musically creative.
- The computer club continues with the tradition of winning an award
in the Learn @ Series competition organised by MOE
annually. In 2006, we won the Innovative Discoverer and
Discovery Scambler awards in the Learn @ Singapore Discovery
Centre Competition.
In 2007
- the school begins experimenting the use of tablet PC for teaching and learning in Maths, English and D&T under the LEAD ICT @ Schools project.
- MOS Gan Kim Yong announces the new Applied Subject to be co-taught by Polytechnic and schools. Dunman Secondary partners Temasek Polyechnic to offer pupils in new Applied Subject in Creative 3D Animation. The school conducts introductory lessons in 3D Animation for Sec 2 pupils to provide them with first hand information on the subject.
- The computer club continues to win award in the Learn @ Competition. In 2007, the school clinches the 2nd prize in the Learn@Library.
In 2008
- the school completes its pilot on the use of tablet PC for teaching and learning in Maths, English and D&T. Project evaluation report was submitted to ETD, MOE.
- the pioneer group of 22 pupils offers new Applied Subject in Creative 3D Animation. Click here for more details on this project.
- The computer club does well again in 2008 Learn @1N, winning the Climate Herald and Climate Challenge Merit Awards.
